Zverev, Svitolina win 2017 Rogers Cup

Alexander Zverev from Germany has stunned the tennis world by beating second seeded Roger Federer in straight sets to take home the Rogers Cup. The win is the 20-year-old’s fifth title of the season with a 6-3, 6-4 victory.
In the women’s match, Elina Svitolina of Ukraine has beaten Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark in a 6-4, 6-0 victory. The triumph is Svitolina’s third Premier 5 title of the year and brings her ranking to No. 4.
In Women’s double final results, Russians Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina beat Germany’s Anna-Lena Gronefeld and Czech Republic Kveta Peschke in a 6-0, 6-4 defeat.
In Men’s doubles, French players Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut beat Indian player Rohan Bopanna and Croatian player Ivan Dodig in a 6-4, 3-6, 10-6 sweep.
