Marion Bartoli Announces Retirement

The current winner of Wimbledon, Marion Bartoli from France, has announced she is forced to retire from professional tennis due to injuries. Bartoli says through tears that her body has really started to fall apart and she has pain throughout her hips, Achilles tendon, shoulder and lower back continuously while she plays. Bartoli won her first Grand Slam title this year by defeating Savine Lisicki from Germany. Bartoli says, “It’s been a tough decision to take. I don’t take this easily.”
