Maria Sharapova Withdraws from 2013 US Open
With all the debate about Maria Sharapova changing her name for a brief time to Sugarpova, the tennis player has decided to pull out of the 2013 US Open because of an injury to her right shoulder. The last time she missed the US Open was back in 2008 for surgery on her right shoulder. Her last win of the US Open for her was back in 2006. Sharapova was originally seeded as third in the US Open but will be replaced by Agnieszka Radwanksa. Also withdrawing from the US Open is Mardy Fish for personal reasons.
