Fabio Fognini Wins German Tennis Championship Title
The 12th-seeded Italian tennis player, Fabio Fognini, has beaten Argentine qualifier Federico Delbonis in a 4-6, 7-6(8), 6-2 win on Sunday for the German Tennis Championship Title, which makes this win his second title in two weeks.
Delbonis beat Roger Federer in the semi-finals and is expected to rise to No. 62 in the rankings when the new ones come out on Monday. Fognini is expected to rise to No. 19, an improvement of 6 spots. He has won 25 tournaments on clay this season, which puts him second to Rafael Nadal’s 38 wins.
