2014 Delray Beach Open Boasts $.5M Prize Money

The Delray Beach Open, an ATP World series, is being held this year from February 14, 2014 through February 23, 2014 at the Delray Beach Tennis Center in Delray Beach, FL. The men’s tennis series is held on hard outdoor courts with the prize money being a hefty half a million dollars. Last years winner for the singles tournament was Ernests Gulbis from the Republic of Latvia. The Latvian tennis player is ranked No. 24 as of October 2013.

The runner up was Édouard Roger-Vasselin from France and is ranked No. 22 as of the same date.
The doubles winners of 2013 were James Blake and Jack Sock, both tennis players from the United States. The runners up were Horia Tecau of Romania and Max Mirnyi of Belarus.

Just recently, the tournament which was known as the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships was renamed the Delray Beach Open by The Venetian Las Vegas who along with the City of Delray Beach are sponsoring the tournament.
